At Gates of Faith Ministries, we practice tithing and offerings for the support of Christ’s Body, the church. God commands this in His Holy Word and we seek to honor and obey Him. We recognize that giving 10% of our increase and a free will offering is the Biblical standard for giving. We believe that there is a reciprocal blessing in the act of giving and receiving. When we give, we are a blessing to the work of the ministry, and in return, we receive a blessing from the Lord by means of others.
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38).
We also see giving as a mode of worshiping God through obedience. (Read 1 Corinthians 16:1-3).
